As focused as we are on healthcare transformation, we should be equally (if not more) attentive to healthcare transforming—the nitty gritty, roll up your sleeves, figure it out, and get-the-work-done work that moves us from the here and now to the transformed industry described in our vision decks—because if we aren't results driven, what are we?
Yet it seems to be getting more difficult: How do we achieve those results in an increasingly complex and uncertain operating environment, and do so together by creating the workplace conditions for people to do their best work?
I've spent my career figuring it out in the golden triangle of people, process, and technology (and more recently: product); by leading change toward a transformed industry for patients, providers, and employees; with a purpose of optimizing operations, improving user/provider/employee experiences, and helping organizations grow.
My jungle-gym approach to that career has provided the opportunities to develop enterprise transformation programs in multiple domains (digital, customer success, implementation, org design & development, operations, community health) across a range of healthcare organizations (healthcare providers, payers, startups, consulting) in a variety of healthcare settings (regional delivery systems, medical groups, speciality orthopedics, specialty oncology, FQHCs, national delivery systems, contact centers).
